Tangerine Tango: YSL Rouge Pur Couture 13 Le Orange review

Tangerine Tango 2012 Pantone Color of the Year!
“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is and orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone Color Institute.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture 13 Le Orange is a tomato red with orange undertones and its more red than orange. the product claims "Pure Colour Satiny Radiance". YSL publicised this as Lipstick for the Heroines. The gold packaging and the cap acting as a mirror for re-application does feel expensive. When you wish to look classy and glam, you wear red but when you wish to rock the party, you wear orange. The texture is way too creamy and settles in fine lines. Keep the tube in a cool place for good. The color remains orange for 1-2 hours and then leaves reddened orange stain which lasts for 4-5 hours. The lipstick has some scent, does not hydrate lips but lasts long (a little waterproof i may say). The color will look great on Indian/ olive/ dusky/ warm skin.

Recommendation - You may buy this for a long wearing color and high fashion gold packaging.

pulling off the orange lip trend.

I wish to get more subtle oranges like Shiseido's Shimmering Rouge in Mango and Shiseido's Perfect Rouge in Day Lily.

Movie Review: Duma, by Carroll Ballard

Duma is an adventure movie with heart. It is a visual treat for nature-lovers as the movie captures the African wild with equally good story. Duma, an orphaned baby cheetah is found by an young boy Xan and his father. Xan and his parents take care of the cub on their South African ranch. When Xan and his mother move to city due to circumstances, Xan runs away from home to free duma in faraway wild. Xan and Duma set off in his father's old motorcycle but soon out of fuel and water. On the dry grasslands, they meet a man Rip. The three set off towards Kalahari desert confronting thirst, harsh nature, wild animals, desert fly attack and their mutual suspicions. On reaching a village Duma finds another cheetah and comes to Xan for a final goodbye.

Look out for the motorcycle scenes, the cuteness of baby cheetah and the friendship of Xan and Duma. the African desert scenes are intense but the realistic approach to the friendship of Xan and Duma conquers all.

Duma reminds of Timothy, the tiger cub of Ruskin Bond's story, A Tiger In The House.

Shiseido Perfect Rouge RD415 Lipstick

A thing of beauty is a joy forever. These words were penned by John Keats and still when I read these words, I can imagine a red rose with early morning dew still on its petals.
I am reviewing a true beauty - Shiseido Perfect Rouge RD415 Valentine Lipstick. The product claims to provide true intense color, all-day hydration and ultra-smoothing formula.
Shiseido Perfect Rouge RD415 Lipstick is a scarlet red with cream finish and a bit of shine. The color is opaque and intense. It does not bleed and I wear it without lip liner. On application lips feel soft and moisturized,  imparting a beautiful red rose color. It has no scent or taste which I like. The hydration and color lasts for more than 6 hours on me, which means that after shopping and dinner my lips are soft and matte red. Once applied the color would only come off with a waterproof makeup remover.

Recommendation - This lipstick is definitely recommended for fans of bold colors and red lips. Wear it for a rock show concert, it will survive the songs and shouts or on a romantic dinner to up the glamour.
